  • The inventory of geosites of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country includes 47 Quaternary geosites that have been assigned to high heritage values. These geosites are associated with coastal, karstic, hydrogeological, fluvial or even glacier features or peculiar erosive processes. However, the degree of existing scientific knowledge in this respect should be increased. Moreover, the didactic or touristic equipment and materials existing in this regard are still very scarce and it is necessary to conduct research on their fragility and vulnerability.
