    The zantedeschias (calla filies) belong to the Araceae family, genusZantedeschia (Z ), are native to South Afiica and have vegetative propagation by rhizome (Z aethiopica) or tuber {remaining species). The great variety of colours and forms of the inflorescence and leaves, the rapid development, the post-harvest qualityand the increased commercial value malee this culture a good altemative for the ornamental production in Portugal and they can be cultivated as cut flower, pot plant or garden flower.This study had as objectivc to assess the productive characteristics, for cut flowers, of 3 calla lily cultivars (cv.), "Little Suzy" (pink), "Lavander Gem" (violet), both Z. rehmannii, and "Goldcn Star" (yellow) (Z a/bomaculata x Z e/liotiana), at numbers of "flowers" produced by plant, stem length,length and diameter of the spathes.In the first year, 2002, the plantation was made in 15 May. Additionally, in the cv. "Little Suzy'', it was evaluated the effect of tuber treatment with gibberellic acid (GA3) (500 ppm, 10 min.), before planting, in the flower parameters in analysis.In 2003, wc repeated the assay with cv. "Little Suzy", planting in 2 dates (24 March and 06 May). Additionally, it was evaluated the productivity of the second generation of tubers (proceeding from the planting of 2002 and stored up to 2003) in relation to the ones ofthe first generation. Thc assays were carricd in a greenhouse, witha density of 32 plants/m2 (15cm x 20cm), with trickle irrigation controlled by tensiometer. Casual blocks with 3 repetitions, each block with Im2 were used and 8 plants/block were analysed in ali assays.     As Zantedeschias Garras) pertencem a famflia Araceae, género Zantedeschia (Z.), sao originárias da África do Sul e propagam-se vegetativamente por rizoma (Z aethiopica) ou tubérculo (restantes espécies). A grande variedade de cores e formas dasinflorescencias e folhas, o rápido desenvolvimento, capacidade de conservar;ilo póscolheita e o elevado valor comercial tomam esta cultura urna boa alternativa para a produyiio florícola em Portugal. Podem ser cultivadas como flor de corte, envasadas ouflor de jardim.Este estudo teve como objectivo avaliar as características produtivas, para flor de corte, de 3 cultivares (cv.) de jarro mini, "Little Suzy" (rosa), "Lavander Gem" (violeta), ambas Z. rehmannii, e a "Golden Star" (amarela) (Z. albomaculata x Z. elliottiana), ao nivel do número de "flores" produzidas por planta, comprimento da haste floral e comprimento e diametro da espata.No l 0 ano do ensaio, 2002, realizou-se a plantayao em 15 Maio. Adicionalmente, avaliou-se o efeito do tmtamento dos tubérculos com ácido giberélico (AG3) (500 ppm,to min.) antes da plantayño, da cv. "Little Suzy", ao nivel dos parfunetros em análise.Em 2003, repetiu-se o ensaio com-a cv. "Little Suzy", tendo-se efectuado a plantar;i'io em 2 épocas· (24 Marr;o e 06 Maio). Adicionalmente, avaliou-se a produtividade de tübérculos de 2ª gemiyao (provenientes da plantaiyao de 2002 e armazenados até 2003) em relaiyao aos de i• gerayao.Os ensaios foram realizados em estufa, num compasso de plantayilo de 32 plantas /m2 (15cm x 20cm), rega gota-a-gota controlada por tensiómetro. Usaram-se blocas casualizados com 3 repetii;oes, cada bloco com l m2 e analisaram-se 1 O plantas/bloco. Em todos os ensaios, foi avaliada a produr;ao de flores/semana, ao longode 7 semanas.....
