  • The selection of young bulls in the testing station during last 10 years is one of the goals of the genetic improvement program of the Bruna dels Pirineus autochthonous beef cattle breed. Thin study summarizes the performance of 402 male calves from purebred herds between 2004 and 2014 in the testing station of the breed. It is important to highlight that some young bulls revealed a relevant source of genetic improve with potential contributions to the next generations and the achievement of the current breeding scheme of the Bruna dels Pirineus breed
