New Technologies have invaded people’s lives for good, with the result that in many cases they not only facilitate it but also contribute to making it better. One key area they have entered is that of education. This article examines the use of ICT and distance education in Greek special education and training, through a literature review. More specifically, it explores how teachers define distance education and how it is used in the three different structures (integration department, parallel support, special school) that exist. It also studies the platforms or digital applications used by teachers to implement distance education in special education and training, as well as the role of parents. At the same time, it examines the advantages and disadvantages of its use, as well as the difficulties and obstacles that arise during the implementation process.
