    El presente estudio pretende poner en valor la trascendencia que el Derecho romano debería tener en los Planes de Estudio. Sin embargo, la realidad es muy otra. Cada vez, su estudio queda relegado a un cuatrimestre o a una asignatura optativa. La razón ni es ni puede ser académica. Los motivos son otros: unos Planes de Estudio que incentivan la mercantilización del saber, relegando al olvido a las humanidades. Entre estas, el Derecho romano, pilar sobre el que se asienta el Derecho moderno, sufre los vaivenes de las modas y del descrédito universitario. Alzar la voz no es tarea fácil, pero sí necesaria.

    This study aims to value the importance that Roman Law should have in the Study Plans. However, the reality is very different. Each time, their study is relegated to a semester or an elective. The reason is not and cannot be academic. The reasons are other: Study Plans that encourage the commodification of knowledge, relegating the humanities to oblivion. Among these, Roman Law, the pillar on which modern Law rests, suffers from the vagaries of fashion and university discredit. Raising your voice is not an easy task, but it is necessary.
