    Entre los múltiples procedimientos que ofrece hoy la moderna Odontoestomatología Forense a efectos de la identificación de las personas se encuentra la "Palatoscopia" o "Rugoscopia".

    El autor revisa el tema y lo pone al día, tanto desde el punto de vista policial como médico-legal, considerando los numerosos intentos de sistematización al uso y sus posibles aplicaciones.

    "Palatoscopia" and "Rugoscopia" are some of the different methods that Forensic Odonto-stomatology has to identify people. The author studies this subject and bring it up to date both from the police point of view the legal and medical point of view. Many studies about this matter and their possible future uses are considered here.
