  El juego de los bolos, está interiorizado por los habitantes de la Huerta de Murcia como parte de su identidad, como testimonio de una práctica inmemorial en la que se fomenta la destreza, la fuerza y la precisión, con bolas y bolos que se tornean de forma artesanal. Es, por consiguiente, una manifestación cultural, rdevante y de carácter etnológico que antaño se practicaba como una vivencia colectiva en Jos carriles y espacios al aire libre, con un indudable efecto regenerador y social. Los bolos huertanos forman parte del patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la Región de Murcia, y constituyen su ancestral deporte tradicional, son un legado, transmitido siglo tras siglo por la tradición oral, que se han adaptado a las reglas del deporte moderno, sin perder su propia esencia.
