    Los niños y jóvenes de hoy en día no leen o leen muy poco. No estamos diciendo nada nuevo, aunque sí repitiendo una evidencia que no deja de ser lamentable y decepcionante. Todos conocemos estadísticas y estudios significativos que insisten en llamar la atención acerca de los bajos índices lectores que presentan los ciudadanos en general y, particularmente los jóvenes que cursan estudios básicos, medios y superiores. Evidentemente algo está fallando. En algo estamos fallando. Si, como todos sabemos, los textos y lecturas para niños y jóvenes presentan enormes potencialidades para trabajar, incluso algo tan importante hoy día como los valores, es imperdonable que veamos pasar las promociones y sigamos sin variar la tendencia que sitúa a los nuestros en estadísticas tan negativas. Siempre es bueno aprovechar un encuentro de estas características para hacer reflexionar, para que reflexionemos todos, y si puede ser en voz alta, acerca de la cuestión. La animación lectora ocupa un lugar importantísimo en la formación de niños y jóvenes. A través de los textos se accede a temas y conocimientos claves, que van configurando su personalidad y su manera de pensar. El reto que se nos plantea hoy día, potenciar y generalizar la lectura, está muy vinculado a los recursos que se utilicen. Un buen uso de los medios que están a nuestro alcance exige que las personas que los van a emplear tengan la preparación adecuada, la imaginación e iniciativa suficiente y el tiempo necesario para ello. Las nuevas tecnologías no van a acabar con el libro, no nos engañemos. No pensemos tan negativamente, porque lo único que conseguimos es renunciar de antemano a cualquier iniciativa innovadora que mejore su uso y disfrute. Sí debemos estar al día y utilizar interesadamente lo que los nuevos medios ponen a nuestra disposición y, en este sentido, presentamos una propuesta didáctica en marcha cuyo objetivo es la animación lectora.

    The children and young of today in day they don’t read or they read very little. We are not saying anything new, although yes repeating an evidence that produces a lot of deception. We all know statistical and significant studies that you/they insist on getting the attention about the first floor index readers that the citizens present in general and, particularly the youths that study basic studies, means and superiors. Evidently something is failing. In something we are failing. If, as all we know, the texts and readings for children and youths present enormous potentialities to work, even something so important nowadays as the values, it is unforgivable that we see pass the promotions and let us continue without varying the tendency that locates ours in statistical so negative. It is always good to take advantage of an encounter of these characteristics to make meditate, so that we meditate all, and if it can be aloud, about the question. The animation reader occupies an important place in the formation of children and young. Through the texts you consents to topics and key knowledge that you/they go configuring their personality and their way of thinking. The challenge that we are outlined nowadays, to increase and to generalize the levels the reading, it is very linked to the resources that are used. A good use of the means that you/they are within our reach demands people that will use them to have the appropriate preparation, the imagination and enough initiative and the necessary time for it. The new technologies won’t put an end to the book, let us don’t deceive ourselves. Let us don’t think so negatively, because the only thing that we get is to give up any innovative initiative that improves their use and enjoyment ahead of time. Yes we should be a day and to use what the new means put to our disposition interestedly and, in this sense, we present a didactic proposal in march whose objective is the animation reader.
