Resumen de Variabilidad étnica en los mecanismos de aclimatación a condiciones de hipoxia

José Enrique Egocheaga Rodríguez

  • Presently work seeks to value if a better capacity of adaptation exists to the hypoxia conditions in these individuals with regard to the strange mountaineers as well as if differences exist among individuals of the ethnos Sherpa that are grateful as those that better they adapt and those belonging to the ethnos Tamang. 30 fellows were continued along an expedition to the North face of Everest. Of them, 10 belonged to the Sherpa ethnics, 10 to the Tamang ethnic and the other ones 10 were European mountaineers. To determine the acclimatization capacity the oxygen saturation it was measured in arterial blood. We don't find differences in the certain values for those subject of the ethnoses Sherpa an Tamang. Between these two groups and the European mountaineers differences exist from the considered lower height. The existence of some higher saturation values for the autochthonous population speaks to us form some better capacities of adaptation to the hypoxia conditions.
