  • Resumen
    • Introduction: clinical-epidemiological methods make it possible to build medical knowledge, to delve into the essence of phenomena in accordance with principles. In people diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, it is of vital importance because it provides knowledge and skills in the management of the disease. The authors of this research identify as an objective: to argue the relevance of the clinical-epidemiological assessment in the evaluation process of rehabilitative technological procedures in Multiple Sclerosis.Method: a longitudinal descriptive study with a qualitative approach was carried out in the period from January to October 2024, in the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department of the Villa Clara Clinical-Surgical University Hospital "Arnaldo Milián Castro". For theoretical inquiries, the following theoretical levels were used: analytical-synthetic, historical-logical, systematization and the statistical-mathematical level: descriptive statistics. Results: in the rehabilitation process, both methods provide precise and detailed information, which will facilitate the evaluation and indication of physical-rehabilitative treatment guidelines. In addition, their prior application to rehabilitation technological procedures contributes to the development of competencies and skills, by following the procedure and connecting the examination, evaluation and intervention. Conclusions: the application of clinical-epidemiological methods will allow the evaluation and indication of treatment guidelines focused on the person's health status.
