Propuesta de modelo de gestión de la calidad para la Universidad Estatal de Bolívar

    La Universidad Estatal de Bolívar se encuentra actualmente en Categoría “C” dentro del ranking establecido por el Consejo de Evaluación, Acreditación y Aseguramiento de la Calidad de la Educación Superior del Ecuador, por este motivo, se propone un modelo de gestión de la calidad universitaria, que contribuya a asegurar la eficacia de los procesos en la Universidad, mejorando la calidad y garantizando el cumplimiento de los requisitos de acreditación. El modelo propuesto tiene como centro el sistema de gestión de la calidad por procesos, responde a principios y requisitos de la norma ISO 9001:2015, aplicados a la educación superior, toma en consideración las necesidades y expectativas de todas las partes interesadas para garantizar el éxito sostenido de la institución. En esta investigación se muestra la validación del modelo, realizada por expertos externos e internos, quienes lo consideraron teóricamente adecuado y factible de aplicar a mediano plazo.

    The State University of Bolivar is at the moment in the Category C in the ranking established by the Council of Evaluation, Accreditation and Assurance of the Quality of the Higher Education in the Ecuador. For this reason, a model for the university quality management, that contributes to assure the effectiveness of the processes in the University, improving the quality, and guaranteeing the accomplishment of the accreditation requirements, is proposed. The nucleus of the model is the quality management system, which responds to the principles and requirements of the standard ISO 9001:2015, applied to the higher education, and it takes in consideration the necessities and expectations of all the stakeholders to guarantee the sustained success of the institution. In the work the validation of the model is shown, carried out by external and internal experts who considered it theoretically appropriate and feasible of applying to medium term.
