    El abuso sexual en la infancia produce un trauma a largo plazo en la víctima, que debilita al yo, reafirma sentimientos negativos sobre sí mismo, genera dolor y sufrimiento constante, autodestrucción, diversas patologías e incluso ideación suicida. Esta investigación tuvo un enfoque cualitativo y alcance descriptivo. El objetivo general fue describir las consecuencias psicológicas del abuso sexual en la infancia. Se trabajó con 2 participantes voluntarias mujeres de 14 años de edad, que fueron víctimas de abuso sexual en la infancia y que cursaban la secundaria. El método empleado fue el estudio de caso y las técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de datos fueron la historia de desarrollo, el Test Machover, Test de Frases incompletas, Test del árbol, entrevistas a padres y reportes de las sesiones clínicas. Se contó con el consentimiento informado de los padres y el asentimiento informado de las participantes. El escenario fue un consultorio de psicología de la ciudad de Morelia, Michoacán, México. Los datos obtenidos se categorizaron y se concentraron en una matriz de categorías, la cual fue analizada a dos niveles. Se encontró –respecto al abuso sexual– que las participantes fueron víctimas de varios tipos de abuso desde la infancia. Las consecuencias de éste se observaron en las áreas familiar, relaciones de pareja y conducta sexual, social, escolar y psicológica. Por lo que el abuso sexual, impacta en las diversas esferas de la vida acompañadas de cuadros patológicos graves, por ello, el tratamiento psicológico resulta indispensable en estos casos.

    The intention of this investigation is examine sexual abuse consequences in the infancy. In our society, there is a tendency to minimize, avoid and ignore the effect of these types of terrible acts, however the consequences of this awful event can be observed in the conduct of the sufferer throughout their lifes. This research begins by addressing different authors who have studied the topic. Firstly, the concept of sexual abuse is defined, where the basic points to talk about it as such are clarified. Later it is analyzed, the vulnerable population to abuse, finding that it is childhood, due to its characteristic dependence. Later, is addressed the sexual abuse as trauma, where, the different authors give their point of view about the topic. It's important also, to notice how the sufferer reacts to the traumatic experience, given that faced with such an experience, the victim becomes destabilized. Otherwise, two cases are analyzed in the office as a setting, one of them is a 5 year old girl. She was touched by her father's friends for several years. The other case, is a 3 year old girl, she was touched and she suffered physical and verbal aggression from her stepfather. In both cases, the girls had several consequences in their behavior and personal relationships and the way that they perceive themselves. Finally the discussion is made, the conclusions and how the victims can be helped, and the future lines of research.
