    No s'ha conservat cap passioner ni leccionari del santoral, dels segles IX-XIII, íntegre, procedent de les actuals esglésies catalanes. Això fa que els 40 fragments manuscrits d'aquests mateixos segles, d'aquesta mena de manuscrits litúrgics, ara conservats a la Biblioteca Episcopal de Vic, siguin molt valuosos per a l'estudi d'aquests llibres. En la descripció dels fragments, a més d'identificar el seu contingut i precisar la seva data, es donen les característiques codicològiques de cada peça a fi que els investigadors puguin tenir una idea el més aproximada possible del manuscrit d'on procedeixen.

    No complete 9th-13th century passionary or lectionary of the sanctorale of the present-day Catalan churches has been preserved. This makes the 40 manuscript fragments of this type of liturgical texts from these centuries, now kept in the Vic Episcopal Library, highly valuable for the study of such books. In this paper, in addition to identifying their content and specifying their date, the description of these fragments gives the codicological characteristics of each piece to provide researchers with the clearest possible idea of the manuscript from which they come.
