    Conservar la tumba y el ajuar del faraón era una tarea fundamental para Carter y su equipo, un grupo formado por técnicos con experiencia en egiptología, arqueología de campo, documentación y química. Bajo la dirección de Carter llevaron a cabo una metodología de trabajo que incluía tareas previas al vaciado de las cámaras, el estudio de los materiales compositivos y sus causas de alteración, análisis químicos y tratamientos de restauración. A pesar de los errores que se pudieron cometer, es innegable el criterio manifiesto de preservar los hallazgos desde el inicio del descubrimiento hasta su instalación en el Museo de El Cairo. Organizaron la necesaria infraestructura para manipular los objetos sin causarles daño; esa instalación les permitió embalar, mover, restaurar y trasladar el ajuar con las mayores garantías de éxito

    Preserving the tomb and the Pharaoh’s funerary equipment was a fundamental task for Carter and his team, a group made up of technicians with expertise in Egyptology, archaeology fieldwork, documentation and chemistry. Under Carter’s direction, they carried out a work methodology that included task previous to the clearing of chambers, the study of the compositional materials and their causes of alteration, chemical analysis and restoration treatments. In spite of the mistakes that may have been made, it is undeniable the manifest criterion of preserving the findings from the beginning of the discovery until their installation in the Cairo Museum. They organized the necessary infrastructure to manipulate the objects without causing damage to them. This equipment allowed them to pack, manipulate, restore and move the trousseau with the greatest guarantee of success
