    El tránsito Paleolítico-Mesolítico no se limita al inicio del Holoceno. Las transformaciones ocurridas en la región mediterránea ibérica, entre el final del Último Máximo Glacial y los inicios del Holoceno constituyen una larga transición. En este texto se valora la trayectoria de los sistemas técnicos, la gestión de los recursos y el simbolismo a partir de la selección de algunas variables, dentro del contexto del cambio bioclimático global que caracteriza el tránsito Pleistoceno-Holoceno. Su objetivo es analizar los cambios ocurridos entre 21 ka y 9,3 ka cal BP en la franja costera centro-meridional ibérica, aproximadamente entre el río Ebro y Gibraltar. La hipótesis de partida asume que en esta región las transformaciones de orden bioclimático, tecno-económico y socio-cultural que suelen utilizarse para definir al Mesolítico se iniciaron antes y no fueron homogéneas, ni en el tiempo ni en su manifestación regional. No obstante, este gradualismo y continuidad también pueden esconder dinámicas de transformación más profundas.

    The Palaeolithic-Mesolithic transition is not limited to the beginning of the Holocene. The transformations that occurred in the Iberian Mediterranean region, between the end of the Last Glacial Maximum and the beginning of the Holocene constitute a Long Transition. This text evaluates the trajectory of technical systems, resource management and symbolism from the selection of some variables, within the context of the global bioclimatic change that characterizes the Pleistocene-Holocene boundary. The main objective is to analyze the changes that occurred between 21 ka and 9.3 ka cal BP in the central-southern Iberian coastal area, approximately between the Ebro river and Gibraltar. The starting hypothesis assumes that in this region the bioclimatic, techno-economic and socio-cultural transformations that they usually use to define the Mesolithic began earlier and were not homogeneous, neither in time nor in their regional manifestation. However, this gradualism and continuity can also hide deeper transformation dynamics.
