    Este ensayo ofrece una reflexión derivada de la epistemología que fundamenta el Modelo Pedagógico Nativo. Se analiza en torno a lo que se va a entender por epistemología, para posteriormente ofrecer el contexto metodológico de la investigación que dio como resultado la sistematización del modelo en cuestión. Cabe mencionar que, bajo la pregunta focal de investigación –¿cómo aprende la gente indígena?– se tuvo como objetivo conocer los aspectos fundamentales del método de aprendizaje que se sigue en los pueblos originarios. Este objetivo resulta relevante en tanto permite visualizar las llamadas nuevas epistemologías en la era de la decolonización del conocimiento. Finalmente, en este artículo se tendrá como principal aporte la presentación de la epistemología que fundamenta el MPN y la consecuente reflexión en torno a ella.

    This essay offers a reflection derived from the epistemology that underlies the Native Pedagogical Model. We analyze what epistemology is and later provide the research’s methodological context that resulted in the systematization of the model in question. It is worth mentioning that, under the focal research question, how do Indigenous people learn? The objective was to know the fundamental aspects of the learning method that the native people follow. This objective is relevant as it allows us to visualize the socalled new epistemologies in the era of the decolonization of knowledge. Finally, in this article, the main contribution will be the presentation of the epistemology that underlies the MPN and the consequent reflection on it.
