Resumen

• This book includes eleven texts, written and published at different times and circumstances, but all related to the rural world of the eighteenth century and the first half of the nineteenth.

  The vigorous opposition of the peasantry to the liberal reforms of the first third of the nineteenth century and their participation in the counter-revolutionary movements — which cannot be assimilated, however, to the defense of the projects of the clergy or absolutist political circles. evolution of feudal income in Catalonia at the end of the Old Regime, and the role of wine specialization in the growth of the Catalan economy in the seventeenth century are the three axes that articulate the articles in the book.
