The GOSPEL

Last year our church challenged us to take a picture of where we would share the gospel that summer. We were given a cutout of the word. GOSPEL. I put mine in the car window. We moved that summer....I saw the word gospel as I drove down new streets and passed new neighbors. And I took pictures out the car window. This unexpected illness changed everything, but with Bruce's help, recycled frames and coupons from Walgreens, I hope we are still sharing the gospel. I've been printing pictures and we drop them off at our neighbors. I could write volumes about the responses. I think both the giver and the recipient have been blessed.

Share the GOSPEL in any small way you can. We all have time and different talents to share.
Remember the true gift at Christmas....
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Saw this online....."One of the sad things about modern life is that even devout believers feel hesitant to talk about the things that matter most to them. You're apt to hear complete strangers weigh in on the weather, the local sports teams, or the Kardashians—but we find it tough to discuss the eternal wisdom of Scripture. Go figure. Merry Christmas!

One fine day...

Bruce took me for a car ride...it was 57 degrees in Wisconsin.
Yes, we have a blizzard today, but it was one fine day to rejoice in!

Right, Hazel?

"Fear-lessly"

The farm down the street...

Beautiful color in the winter

My squirrel feeder

I have spent the last few days in the hospital,
the doctors are doing tests to help get to the bottom of my symptoms.
I probably have more questions than answers for now. No one likes that.
So....
I will try to live more "fear-lessly"
I know the Truth, and although the world is loud and fearful,
I know my future is in His hands.

So thank you...

Today I am grateful for squirrels!

March

I always look forward to March, the month when I think winter should be over and spring should be on its way. The reality is quite different. It's still cold. And its still winter. I long to take pictures of something different...even Bugsy won't cooperate.

But I'm ever hopeful... this too shall pass.
That's my Wednesday in Wisconsin!
Have a great day!

Magnificent Mallards

And there I am, a picture of me reflected in his eye....and I think he smiled at me!

Summer Blues

“To me, photography is an art of observation.
It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place …

My assistants

I thought  I would sit in the garden and try to photograph the birds in the yard,
but my assistants seemed to make everyone a bit wary.

Room with a view...

Thank you for your kind comments about my deer pictures. I wish I could tell you that I saw them in the woods, or watched them from my car window. I'm a bit house bound right now, but I was able to watch them and photograph them from the couch... in the sun room. No National Geographic moment...no wildlife adventure...maybe I was even wearing my slippers. And I am grateful for a room with a view.

Bright spots...

faith, family, friends, fall, photography. The list goes on...and includes this photo blog and the people I have met through it. So even though I am better with photos than words (and have started writing this 5 times), I thought I would share something more personal. I haven't been taking as many pictures lately because I haven't felt quite right for weeks. Last week I learned I have Lyme disease. And I may have had it for over a year. Last year I had 4 months of feeling cruddy and tests, (including Lyme) indicated nothing. I felt much better this summer, and now I feel yucky again. So hopefully the antibiotic I am on and time will bring about good health. Armed with bug spray to ward off ticks, I plan to head out with the dogs and grab a few pictures of the amazing color outside my window...I just might be a bit slower getting them on the blog here for awhile. Prayers appreciated. (o: Anita

Sleepless in Wisconsin

I couldn't sleep last night, especially when I saw how bright the stars were when I looked out my window. So I grabbed my camera and guard dog Bugsy and went into the yard with a flashlight.

An hour later I found myself reading HOW to take star photographs online. I have a lot to learn and a lot of sleep to make up. Still, these warm fall nights are just too beautiful to not give it a try.

God in everything...

To be grateful is to recognize the love of God in everything He has given us
--and He has given us everything. Every breath we draw is a gift of His love,
every moment of existence is a grace,
for it brings with it immense graces from Him.
