Carbon copies

Soon after this picture was taken,
the babies fledged and the mom became an "empty-nester"
We still see her and her adult children in the yard.
This weekend "mom dove" laid 2 new eggs!

Lovely pictures. The doves seem to be quick to start a second family.

Oh, Anita, they are just precious, and also my very favorite wild birds.

Oh my, loved these pics.
I saved the pictures to show a bird lover friend . . .
Look at those fledgers . . . so full of new feathers.
Really wonderful pictures Anita!

Cool photos! I guess you'll be able to watch another round of baby birds now.

Beautiful photos Anita! Exciting to watch the birds nest and the little ones grow and take flight - and now the promise of being able to enjoy the process all over again. :)

Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog last week too - just found it. It's hard to know where to set our expectations and hopes when we don't have any definitive answers to the issues of my husband's health. I know you understand this too.

oooh! This is neat to see. I have doves who regularly build nests high up in the eaves of my front porch. I've never been able to see the baby doves. Til now :-).
