Commander Banned and Restricted Announcement – February 9, 2026

This article announces the Commander banned and restricted list updates effective February 9, 2026. Biorhythm has been unbanned, while Lutri, the Spellchaser is unbanned but remains banned as a companion. Three other cards, Sundering Titan, Iona, Shield of Emeria, and Griselbrand, were discussed but not unbanned at this time. No new bans were added, and the Commander Format Panel welcomes feedback on these changes.

We are far past the "block era"... and the current pace is borderline absurd. One set comes out and there are already spoilers for the next THREE sets (and let's not talk about mechanically unique SLD cards...). Do you feel it's healthy? Or are you feeling some degree of fatig

Ok, this is getting weird. Secret of Strixhaven Commander decks...leaked.

Lorwyn JUST came out. With TMNT "accidents" cards in precons (and full set of R/M spoilered). Marvel commander decks leaked a few days ago and now... Strixhaven too? Not sure about the general opinion but this is all a bit too much.

How was your preprelease? Mine was a BLAST as always. I love my local shop. I didn't see anyone pull a turtle lol but we had a great time. Every shop around me was completely booked for pre-release, with wait lists. Was your local store packed?
