The man, the myth, the legend... we’re very excited to bring you Billy Lotion’s first official vinyl release, Poetry In Lotion (DSK 015).
After immigrating to the US, Billy set up his music production studio in California and worked on a number of porno soundtracks, odd films, and commercials that eventually led him nowhere
Left feeling frustrated, unappreciated, and taken advantage of by the music/film industry, Billy locked himself in his studio to focus on his true passion: ITALO-DISCO
After hearing rumors of his insane music studio for years, we decided to track him down to see if it was all true and were elated to discover Billy was still going strong as a composer/producer in his California studio
As a result, Billy was kind enough to let us peruse his vault of master tapes and handpick three of his finest Italo gems to release as a maxi/mini album cut at 45 rpm. The result is ‘Poetry In Lotion’, an italo-disco space odyssey covered and dripping in his warm, wet, greasy lotion!
