With this zenith he is simply a composer and a performer, no limiting categories, adjectives or qualifiers. Everything is deliberate, nothing is left to a machine to endlessly loop, everything from the timbres to the rhythms to the arpeggio patterns are orchestrated and evolve and shift. Parts don't jockey for individual attention; every instrument, physical or electronic, receives the same spotlight in a common, uncrowded place of interplay that rewards but does not demand scrutiny.

This is one of my all time favorite electronic albums. Chris' music sound is sublime, he's one of the few artists I've heard that truly makes synthesizers sound as organic and unique as acoustic instruments. His use of percussion and harmonic movement sets this effort apart from the crowd. While much music in this genre can be repetitive and static, this album displays a deep knowledge of actual compositional form - sounds and themes that evolve and expand over time.
