DJ Knuf returns to Hyperjazz Records with a new two-track single that explores the dual nature of sound: physical movement and mental transcendence.
 Body Side / Mind Side draws inspiration from reggae and dub traditions while maintaining DJ Knuf's signature hip-hop production approach. The release functions as a modern interpretation of the 7-inch format, with each track representing a distinct side of the sonic experience.
"Body Side" drives rhythmic intensity, designed to activate physical response through layered bass lines and percussive elements. "Mind Side" shifts focus inward, employing echoes, reverberations, and electronic manipulation to create trance-inducing atmospheres reminiscent of early dub pioneers.
The production reflects DJ Knuf's longstanding passion for Afro-American music traditions, sampling and reconstructing fragments of sound and voice into his distinctive style. His work bridges the raw energy of hip-hop with the psychedelic space of reggae and dub, creating compositions that operate on both bodily and cerebral levels.
A sonic dialogue between movement and meditation, Body Side / Mind Side confirms DJ Knuf's ability to navigate the full spectrum of Black music traditions with authenticity and creative vision.
