Discover the World of Micro Mosaics

If we took a trip back in history, we notice various kinds of mosaic art: each with a different technique, perspective and name. The name “Opus Vermiculatum” was invented by Romans to illustrate the art of mosaics made out of tiny and minuscule Tesserae called “Vermiculi” (little worms). Through the tiniest tesseras and mosaic tiles measuring between one or two mm, a new medium became possible. With a centimeter-long tile, artisans could obtain five rows of tesserae creating a wide variation…
