DIY horticultural white oil:
• White oil is great for cleaning plants, giving the leaves a nice natural shine, and even killing past!
• It’s simple to make using ingredients from your kitchen.
• You’ll need a mild vegetable oil like canola or sunflower, liquid soap preferably Castile. If you do not have Castile soap you can use a dish detergent that does not have any bleach or antibacterial ingredients. You’ll also need a measuring cup, and a bottle to store the oil.
• Makes 2 cups of oil with one cup of liquid soap and shake well. The mixture will literally turned white as the soap emulsifies the oil.
• This mixture is your concentrate which you will further dilute!
• To use the oil, mix 1 tablespoon of concentrate into 1 L of water in a spray bottle.
