Users of Apple Watch can enable notifications when the noise levels in their surroundings interfere with their hearing by using the Noise app. The software uses the microphone to assess sound levels throughout the day, but it doesn't record or save any noises. Only Apple Watch Series 4 or later running watchOS 6 can receive these notifications.
