Abstract:

MANET refers to a network designed for special applications for which it is difficult to use a backbone network. In MANET, a lot of network troubles occur due to the mobility of nodes and the limitation of energy. Therefore, when performing ubiquitous services with the application of MANET, a technique is required to improve the packet transmission rate so as to enable continuous packet transmission while flexibly adapting to topology changes caused by the mobility of nodes. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a mixed protocol that applies both PAOMDV (possibility based AOMDV) and OLSR-ME (OLSR with modify energy efficiency). In this protocol, PAOMDV takes charge of the outside of cluster and OLSR-ME the inside of cluster so that the two protocols can complement each other. By experiment, this study compares the proposed protocol with the conventional protocols ofAODV, AOMDV, and ZRP, and verifies its performance.
