Abstract:

The basic application of microphone array is sound source localization in an environment filled with noisy and reverberant. This paper uses a helmet-mounted microphone array to study the low-frequency acoustic signal localization algorithm of diffraction path. For improving the positioning accuracy, we use the compensated time delay which account for diffraction path to construct the steered response power and phase transform (SRP-PHAT) algorithm. Utilizing stochastic region contraction (SRC) to search the sound source location, reduces the amount of calculation. Experimental results show that the localization method of the low frequency sound signal based on the diffraction path improves the accuracy of localization, and the search approach of SRC saves computing time significantly.
