Show me a girl who doesn't like shoes...

Okay, there must be plenty of girls out there who don't like shoes but as the saying goes:

Yes, once again I'm playing with that gorgeous shoe set from The Ton. I'm making cards to sell for charity (Cancer Research - UK) and wanted to create a batch of simple but pretty cards.

Hopefully, these fit the bill.

I'm very lucky that Sarah, my local florist, has agreed to sell them in her shop.

I'm linking to the following challenges:
TWOFERS - Challenge #16 is Shoes and My Time To Craft Challenge #138 is Girlie.

Have a great day everyone!

I'm going to be getting 'Creative With Stamps'!

Hi everyone, just dropping by to share some news I've been sitting on for a couple of weeks:

Yes, I'm on the DT for Lilian and Monika's new challenge blog!
Challenge #1 launches on April 1st, so there's only a week to wait for all the creative fun to begin.

In the meantime, here's a card I made a little while back but forgot to share.

Naughty or Nice Challenge #25 - At The Movies Reminder

Hi everyone, just dropping by to remind you that there are now just ten days to play along with The Troublemakers over at Naughty or Nice.

Here's my little piece of movie-inspired craziness:

Did you guess my card is inspired by 'Cats: The Musical'??? LOL.

Finally, if you are wondering where that gorgeous wall comes from, you'll need to pay a visit to this blog, which I found thanks to a Google search.

So why not join us and cause a little movie-mischief with the Naughty or Nice team...

Less is More - Citrus Colour Week

It's a colour challenge over at Less is More this week and what a yummy colour challenge it is!

CITRUS COLOURS

Sadly, my camera and/or my PC seem to have washed-out my vibrant lime, tangerine and narcissus inks despite my best efforts with Picassa and PicMonkey.

I love this stamp set from The Ton, although I have to say I am a little disappointed with the sentiments. I decided to make my own and printed this on my PC and then die cut it.

I then made another card in shades of pink for one of my colleagues. My camera seems to have done a much better job with this one for some reason although it's still not quite right.

These cards were so quick and easy I think I'll make a few more and put them away in readiness for the Macmillan Coffee Morning. By just making one or two additional cards as I go, I should have quite a good stash to sell come September.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

February Card Chain Challenge

Yes, it's time for another lovely Card Chain Challenge reveal over at Deborah's blog!

Here's the card I sent to Sara.

I took a peek at Sara's flickr site and decided that she wouldn't object to a little bit of whimsy!

I love these MFT cats sooooo much and can't resist inking them up on a regular basis! For some unknown reason I decided to have the cat clinging to a banner so cut an extra set of paws, which you can see better on the picture below.

I did try to use Deborah's colour scheme but went a little off script!

My sender this month is Christi. Her card hasn't reached me yet but hopefully the postal service will oblige and it'll get here very soon!

The March Challenge is still open; so why not make this the month you sign-up and become a link Deborah's chain of card making and friendship!

House of Cards March Challenge - Silhouette

It's time for another new challenge over at House of Cards This month Mynn and the girls would like you to create a card inspired by our code word:

I love making simple cards and to be honest they don't get much simpler than this one!

The code word made me think of an outline image stamped randomly on a coloured background. The flower is from a beautiful Hero Arts set: Garden Flowers by Lia and gave me exactly the 'look' I was aiming for. I finished with a sentiment and then went on the produce a second card in the same style using a pretty leaf from the set.

My tiny card puts in an appearance top right! Happy birthday, Em!

As always the HOC gang have produced some gorgeous cards and you can check out all the inspiration right here.

Happy crafting everyone!

Naughty or Nice Challenge #25

The Oscar celebrations may have come and gone but the Troublemakers have booked a seat at the Movies for the Naughty or Nice Challenge this month.

Can you guess which movie my card celebrates? I know it's a toughie...

Yep, you got it!

I have to confess to being a bit of a Star Wars 'nut'. I have a friend who is an even bigger Star wars nut than me, so bought this set to make his birthday card last year. This card is for another male friend. I have to say that these stamps certainly take the stress out of making cards for guys!

This was a super-quick make. I die-cut some blue card and heat embossed in white. Then I inked-up with Distress Inks, mounted on a white card base, added gems and called it job done.

May the crafting force be with you!
