Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful moms, grandmoms, stepmoms, adoptive or foster moms - you make the world a better place!

Here's a card I made for a very new mom and her adorable bundle. My colleague Rachel and her partner Rich have just welcomed lovely Lilly Rose to the world.

I had to make a card! I just love this little cutie from Stamping Bella and the pretty paper from MFT.

Have a fun day!

The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #7 - Delectable Die-cuts.

It's time for a new challenge over at Christmas Kickstart and for the next two weeks it's all about Delectable Die-cuts. I often wonder how did we ever manage in card-land before the arrival of the die-cut!

For this challenge my sweet blogging buddy Sally is donning her jaunty red and green hat as our guest elf.

You can see her beautiful Christmas creation by heading here and here.

My cards for this challenge are very clean and simple, and (unusually for me) don't involve any stamping or colouring.

The Merry Christmas die is from My Favorite Things and the sweet little elfin footwear comes from Paper Smooches. This card design turned out to be very quick and easy to make and was brilliant for using up paper and card scraps. I can see me making more of this design in the run-up to the festive season.

I very much hope you'll find time to join myself and guest elf Sally for what promises to be another fun fortnight at Christmas Kickstart Challenge.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge # 131 - U is for Unicorn

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really rather envious of Edna's unicorn onesie!

Yes, it's all about unicorns over at The Sisterhood for this challenge. We all had a total blast for this one and hope you'll come and play too!

I know I've got at least one unicorn stamp in my stash, but try as I might I couldn't find it. I needed to improvise and here is the result: it's either a catticorn or a unikitty depending on your point of view!

This adorable little MFT kitty would definitely accompany me to my desert island crafting hideout - I don't know what I'd do without him/her. The sentiment is computer printed in my favourite typeface. The unicorn horn is a die cut which I coloured as a tiny but magnificent rainbow!

Why not head on over and take a look at the inspiration cards from our guest queen and the rest of the gang. There should be a government health warning on this challenge as my sistahs and Queen Jenny have created some truly hilarious and super snarky cards!

The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #6 - Moves on Hooves

It's time for another challenge over at The Christmas Kickstart and it's a fun one: MOVES ON HOOVES!

Horses, reindeer, cows... if it has hooves, then you're good to go!

Just the one offering from me this time as life has been a little hectic recently. However, I couldn't resist this Neat and Tangled Llama wearing his bright and cheery blanket and scarf. That lovely background stamp is also from Neat and Tangled and is called Hello Winter

I was trying to make a masculine card, but I'm not sure the pretty colours haven't thrown me off course a little!

For this challenge there are two guest elves AND a sweet bovine beauty of a stamp from the lovely people at Rubber Dance Art Stamps, so it's well worth heading over to take a look and join in the fun!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge # 130 - O is for Ombre

I think Edna looks really rather fetching in her ombre gown, don't you?

Yep, the sisterhood are looking for your best OMBRE cards for this challenge.

I think my ombre effect has got a little lost among all the layers of colour and the balloons, but look closely and you'll see it.

The Sisterhood have done a brilliant job with this challenge and there is some super snark on offer if you click here!

Card Chain Challenge Reveal - February 2019

Hi everyone, we have sunshine and a few patchy clouds this morning, so it's looking like another nice spring day here in the UK. Wherever you are, I hope that the weather is being similarly kind to you.

It's time for another Reveal at The Card Chain Challenge and I'm loving all the flowers and birds that we have on view.

Our themes were birds, cut-outs and friendship and the product options were punches, die-cutting and stitching. As always, we also had a lovely sketch and a sweet colour combo for our participants.

This month my recipient was new player Marciava in Georgia.

My sender was the lovely Jane in Great Britain.

I have to say that this card is every bit as stunning (and more) in real life than it looks here!

You can see the full reveal post in all it's glory by heading here and you can catch our March sign up by heading here.

Have a happy day, and I hope it involves crafting!
