The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #22 - Jingle all the Way!

It's time for another fun theme over at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge

I'm delighted to welcome a new elf for this challenge - it's my lovely long-term blogging buddy Dawn from Dawn's World

Our theme for this challenge is
Jingle All the Way!
So please break out them bells and come jingle along with us.

My first card features an adorable feline friend in a Santa hat, wearing the biggest kitty bell I've ever seen! I can just imagine my cat wearing this - he'd never get his head off the floor!

I'm linking this card to Janis's Cat Lovers Blog Hop which started yesterday. If you've never played along why not take a look as it's great cardmaking fun.

My next card is also a cute one. The stamp is called Reindeer Bells  from Woodware. The sentiment has lost it's packaging so I'm not sure where it's from. I've added Wink of Stella to the snowflakes and the collar.

Rudolph has a gorgeous Random Raffle Prize for this month.

It's a two-fer of sweet Lawn Fawn stamp sets up for grabs!

Hope you can come and play along!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #146 - P is for Pink Halloween

It's time for our annual 'P is for Pink Halloween' Challenge over at The Sisterhood. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and so this is a biggy on our challenge calendar.

For my card I used a gorgeous stamp set from The Colorado Craft Company from their Lovely Legs range. I inked the background with Distress Inks and then tried the wet wipes technique removing ink through a spider web stencil. I can't say I'm blown away by my first attempt at this new technique, but it did add some interest to the background.

We have a fabby new queen and the sisters have created some brilliant scary stuff for this extra special challenge, so please drop by and take a look. Finally, here's a little health message from yours truly...

Don't forget to check your boobies!

The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #21 - Woodland Creatures

Happy October!  It turns out that there are now less than 80 days until Christmas - wow.

It's time for a new challenge and to welcome a new elf! For this challenge I'm delighted to be joined by the lovely Sarah from Funky Fossil Designs!

For Challenge #21 we'd love to see cards featuring

I've had the idea for this card in my head for ages, but didn't know whether I could pull it off or not. I combined two Penny Black Slapstick images and got busy with my Promarkers. I enjoyed colouring the images and learned a lot in the process.

Here's a close up of those cute critters. I just wish Wink of Stella was more visible in daylight as this card looks so sweet and twinkly under the light of my lamps.

My second card features a sweet little character from The Ton. I think we can tell that he's super ready for Christmas in his sparkly bow tie.

There's a very special Random Raffle prize for this challenge, so why not head on over and find out all the details...

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #145 - Z is for Zaphod Beeblebrox

Once again, I am completely blown away by Sister Lee's graphic for this challenge!

It's all about the aliens over at The Sisterhood for our new challenge. I have to admit that I did struggle to get going with this theme (despite being a big fan of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and things of a Sci-fi nature) but eventually I had that lightbulb moment and this is what I came up with. My cute alien is a black and white line drawing and I coloured him (or her) with pencil crayons.

Here's the punchline... predictable, but hopefully still fun!

My sisters have created some cards that are truly outta this world (see what I did there???) and I know you'll want to head on over at warp speed to take a look and play along with this fun challenge.

The Card Chain Challenge - September Reveal

It's time for another fabulous Card Chain Challenge Reveal!

We had 21 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month which makes our total number of exchanged cards a rather stunning 2,850 to date.

Each participant had to include one or more of the following options:

Color Palette Option

(Exact matching is not required.)
or

Sketch Option
(Orient as desired.)
or
Theme options:
Humor, Things with Wheels, Friendship.

Product options:
Pencils, Crayons.

Here's the card I made and sent to Tina in Slovenia:

This card looks a bit rubbish in this pic but does look better IRL. I had great fun creating the Distress Ink sunset and fussy cutting Snoopy and Woodstock. The stamping is meant to look like that as the Darkroom Door stamp is a little 'gappy'. I love the idea of this cute, but dynamic, duo riding off to new adventures together!

My sender for this month was my creative partner in crime, Gail in Norway.

A sarcastic sentiment and a rainbow hedgehog - Gail knows me soooo well!

If you want to join in the fun, you can sign up for the October Card Chain Challenge from 7th September to 6th October. All cards exchanged will be revealed on the blogs of our participants on 2nd November, 2019.

The November Card Chain Challenge sign-up begins on 7th October and ends on 6th November. All cards exchanged in that challenge should arrive at their destinations by 30th November and will be revealed on 2nd December, 2019.
