It looks like we’re going to get THE GHOST IN THE SHELL in its most purest of forms. This new anime adaptation of the franchise is going back to its roots, while also having that modern color to it.



With them trying to bring back The Ghost in the Shell in many different ways after Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, like with a movie, with a remake, and so many other different ideas. They finally locked down with going back to the classics, and going back to where it all started. The manga.

Going so much back that they even decided to keep the manga 80’s/90’s look as well. Motoko Kusangai might not look as sexy as her Stand Alone Complex counter partner, but saying she’s not sexy at all is a straight up lie.

If anyone was looking for an entry point for the Ghost in the Shell series, this is looking like a good fit.
