Here For You - Hello

Happy Tuesday Friends!  Were you able to see the eclipse in your area yesterday?  Me, not at all, I'm in Florida and it just appeared like storm clouds were moving in...no big whoop!

Today is a quick share featuring some simple water coloring and the "Here for You" Stamp and coordinating Die Set from Altenew.

This is a large floral as you can see, my card measures the standard A2 size (4.25 x 5.5"), so I decided to keep it CAS.  I loosely water colored the image using Gansai Tambi watercolor paints on Tim Holtz watercolor card.  This is my favorite card for water coloring, it is bright white and handles lots of water.

I've die cut the floral and splattered using white acrylic paint and added foam pads.  I've heat embossed the sentiment onto the background panel, covered it and splattered the background panel with turquoise and gold paint.  Lastly, I've adhered water droplets, matted with coordinating card and mounted to the card base.

Quick and Easy card complete.  Every now and then I like to play with watercolor, however  I'm not very good at it, but I can paint loosely, and that's seems to be the style these days so there you have it...a bright and cheerful card for any occasion (is anyone getting Mrs. Crocombe vibes?...if you don't understand - watch her on the English Heritage Channel via You Tube).

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Floral Thank You

Hello and Happy Thursday!  Today's card features lots of lovely die cuts, pretty patterned paper and sparkle.  I created this card using dies from the Spellbinders "Sincerely Yours" Card Kit.

There are floral and foliage dies as well as an envelope die in the kit so I wanted to create a card using the die cuts as the main focal element.  I die cut several florals and foliage that I could arrange within the envelope.  I mounted some of the florals on foam pads for a bit of dimension, added sequins for bling and a sentiment....complete.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge #3

Hello and Happy Monday!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and have a great week coming.  Today begins a new challenge at Inspiration Station.  The Inspiration Photo are various florals so I was inspired to create this A2 sized card:

Inspiration Photo:

I used the Natural Silhouttes Stamp Set by Gina K. Designs for the image and sentiment, which were heat embossed.  Arteza Real Brush Markers were used for the color and the background was created by adding the color to an acrylic block, spritzing with water and "stamping" on 110 lb. card.  To finish up the design, card candy dots were added.

Please join this fortnight for the challenge at Inspiration Station.  We hope to inspire you with our designs and look forward to seeing how the Photo Inspired you.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Just for You Wreath

Hello and Happy Tuesday Evening....yes, it's evening at the time of this posting, I've just had the opportunity to share today's make.  It was a quick and easy Note Card measuring 5" square with a little back story to go along with it:

A few months ago, the Hubby talked me into going with him to a local Flea Market and Swap Meet.  After walking a few aisles, I came across an elderly couple that had what appeared to be loads of crafting supplies on their tables.  I found a box of silicone stamps sets that, of course, were not of great quality but I thought, why not.  I'll go through them and what I don't want, I'll gift to the Hospice Charity Shoppe.  I also just wanted to contribute to the couple; they were so sweet.

I paid practically nothing ($20 US) and the box must have contained at least 50 small sets of various stamps.  I used the Wreath Builder Templates from Gina K. Designs to create a small floral wreath with one of the sets in the box.  I colored the images with my Alcohol Markers, used an embossing pen to apply embossing ink to the center of the flowers so I could emboss them with Gold powder.  For a final touch, I added 3 pieces of card candy and called this little notecard complete.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Flannel Flowers

Hello and Happy Saturday.  It's a rainy day here in Central Florida so I've been crafting and today's make and share features a digital image from Beccy's Place named Flannel Flowers.

This was a freebie image and after a search on the site, I am unable to locate it.  It may have been a freebie for a short period of time.

Edited **I've found the Freebie section and can be found here:  Beccy's Blog

This image is very versatile and can be for any season, depending on the color scheme you choose.  I've been busy creating Autumn themed cards and this digi colored up nicely in Autumn colors.

The card measures A2, the image has been colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  The DSP are from the Carta Bella "Hello Fall" 6x6 paper pad, the sentiment from the Memory Box Grateful Autumn Stamp set and the ribbon is from my stash.  I did add Wink of Stella to the Yellow floral images but it's hard to catch on camera.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're finding time to create some Autumn cards.  I cannot believe we are approaching the 3rd week of September already!  My Mother used to warn me of wishing to Grow Up so fast....she was correct - the older you get, the faster time flies!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts - Coffee and Cake

Hello Everyone!  I hope you're all well and looking forward to your weekend!  Today starts a new challenge at Creative Knockouts and the sponsor this round is SheepSki Designs, the theme is Anything Goes.

For my design team project today, I used SheepSki's image Coffee and Cake.  I love this image and did some fussy cutting; separating the cake and the coffee to create a scene for my A2 sized card.

My designer papers are from the Bo Bunny Sweet Moments Collection 6x6 paper pad.   I picked up this pad at Tuesday Morning for $2.99...can you believe it?!  What a score!

Please join us at Creative Knockouts for the challenge, we would love to have you and would love to see your beautiful creations.

Also, I would like to invite you to the The Paper Funday Challenges, it's a new month with a new theme and a great sponsor.

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Flowers for Mum

Hi!  I'm back with a new design team project for this weeks' challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges.  We have two wonderful sponsors this week:  All Dressed Up Stamps and Sparkle N Sprinkle

For my design team project this week, I had the pleasure of using the Flowers for Mum digital stamp from All Dressed Up Stamps.

This digital image and sentiment are 1 image so it's very easy to put together a beautiful card.  I left this A2 sized card fairly CAS; just adding 5 sequins and some Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle.....I need my sparkle!

Please join us this week at Penny's challenges, we would love to have you and to be inspired by your projects.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Cardz 4 Galz - Flora and/or Fauna

Hello everyone, I hope your day a blessing to you.  Today begins a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.  The theme this round is Flora and/or Fauna.  I chose Floral to create my design team project.

I used a busy floral background and placed a die cut on top.  Added some ribbon and a dimensional floral element from a Dollar Tree package of stickers.  For the final touch, I scattered sequins for some bling.

After looking at this A2 card for a bit, I felt the background overtook all the other elements in my design.  I feel I should have used a larger dimensional sticker for the focal image.

Please join us at Cardz 4 Galz this challenge.  We would love to have you.  Also, please visit the new challenge blog The Paper Funday Challenges; the theme for March is Anything But a Card with a Twist:  Use the color Green.  You have until March 31st to enter your creation for a chance to win a fun photopolymer stamp set!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Make My Monday Challenge - Something New

Hello and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new challenge at Make My Monday Challenge Blog and the theme for this round is "Something New"....new baby, new job, new home, new stash, etc.

I recently purchased a 6x6 paper pad from Recollections named Patisserie.  This paper pad has some of the loveliest  papers and it's what I have that's new so my design team creation meets the theme of this challenge.

I used 2 different papers from the pad, some dragonfly dies I have in my stash.  I added a ribbon, some sequins and a flower dimensional sticker,  inked all the edges and called this standard A2 sized card complete.

I hope you'll join us this round at Make My Monday Challenges, we'd love to have you.  And I'd like to remind you of the new challenge for March starting this Wednesday at The Paper Funday Challenges.  The theme for the month of March is Anything But a Card with a Twist:  Use the color Green.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Cardz 4 Galz - Dimensional Greetings

Hello!  A new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz starts today and the theme this round is Dimensional Greetings.  Your project must contain a dimensional element.  I chose to create a fun fold card with lots of dimension and a quote from the late George Burns (which came from one of those Daily Quotes desk calendars).

My design team project is a standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5") middle stepper card.  I have been neglecting my floral collection so I grabbed some pastel colors that matched the designer paper; from Anna Griffin, and created.  I also used a fence die cut to give the card an additional element.  Finally, I spritzed the finished piece with Sheer Shimmer Spritz in the color Sparkle.

Please stop by Cardz 4 Galz and enter your project.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Crafty Calendar Challenges - Peonies

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog and 2019!  It's going to be a great year.

It's time for another challenge at Crafty Calendar and the sponsor for this 1st challenge of 2019 is SheepSki Designs.  For my design team project, I chose to use the Peonies image.

My design is a 5" Rocker card.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, fuzzy cut and mounted on dimensional foam.  I embossed the green mat with a Brick Wall folder for some added interest.  I also mounted the sentiment on foam pads and added some buttons to complete the design.  It's a very nice digital image and just seemed suited for a Rocker card.

Please join us at Crafty Calendar Challenges for your opportunity to win some gorgeous images from SheepSki Designs.

I also want to remind you that a new Challenge Blog has started at The Paper Funday Challenges and the 1st challenge is an Anything Goes!  Your creation must be made with paper and the challenge runs for an entire month.  Please stop by and join the fun!

Thinking of You Sympathy Card

Hello everyone and thanks for visiting.  Today I'm sharing one of the sympathy cards I was asked to make.  I have a hard time with sympathy cards because #1 I don't like making them and #2 I struggle with how to create them.  I don't want to make them to flashy and for a lack of a better word...disrespectful.  I think I managed to create a 6" x6" tasteful and yet beautiful card for my customer.  I hope she likes it.
I used a digital paper from Scrapbooking Gems on Etsy for the mat and Anna Griffin print and cut flowers from the Cricut Design Space.  The butterfly was one from my stash as well as the ribbon and faux pearl.  The die cut piece is also from the Cricut Design Space.

I hope you have a wonderful week and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Cardz 4 Galz Design Team Project - Follow the Sketch

Hello and Happy Thursday!  Wow, it's August already and time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.  Today I'm sharing my design team project for the challenge.  We are to follow the sketch below so I decided to go with a Fall/Autumn Theme:

A lot of die cutting went in to this card...everything but the card base and the mats were die cut.  I colored the images with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and stamped the sentiment with Ranger Archival ink in the color Potting Soil.  I'm please with the card and it's very reminiscent of Autumn with all the wonderful colors.

I hope you will join us at Cardz 4 Galz for a fun challenge.  My design team sisters and I enjoy providing inspiration for you and hope you are inspired by our creations of Love.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #391 - Design Team Project

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a card I created for the Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge Blog using a beautiful image of African Violets from one of the challenge Sponsors this week Fred, She Said Designs.

This was a joy to color with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers; purple and all shades thereof are my FAV!  This image set contains many images such as the flowers in a pot, single flowers and this image - the grouping.

I embossed the mat and die cut the focal image, then backed with a couple of lace doilies.  For embellies, I added ribbon, tied a bow and added clear Wink of Stella to the Violets.  For the final touch, I scattered small, white pearls.  I'm very pleased with how this card turned out and the images from Fred, She Said Designs are wonderful.

I hope you'll join in the fun at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges this week.  My design team sisters created some wonderful cards with their sponsor images and we hope to inspire you this week.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Amazingly Amazing

Today I'm sharing a card I created for a card swap using only stamps and Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

This card, even though simple, took me a little longer than I originally anticipated.  That wasn't a problem as I craft and create to relax but I couldn't decide which placement of the stamps looked best.  I must have fiddled with the design for half an hour until I settled on this and called it complete.

The stamps and sentiment are a mixture of stamp sets.  The sentiment was included in a gift to me from a card swap buddy.  Thank you Eva!

I hope you were inspired to created something simple and unique.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

A Bouquet of Happy Thoughts

Hello and Happy Monday!  I hope all is well with you and yours and your weekend was awesome!

Today I would like to share a card I put together yesterday, while sitting at my craft table watching the rain come down outside my window.  I needed something cheery and bright so I used this image from Delicious Doodles to create a 6" square card.  I will send it out in a card swap I'm registered for in August.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and used an older stamp set I had in my stash from the Royal Castle Shoppe.  I have a set of three bow dies; 3 different sizes so I chose the medium sized bow die cut and thought it came out the perfect size.  I added some card candy and called it complete.

I hope you were inspired by my bright and cheery Poppy Card.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

A Wilted Violet and Gold Happy Birthday Celebration

Good Monday to you!  Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made for a co-worker, her favorite color is purple.

I wanted a simple yet striking card that incorporated her favorite color and few design elements.  I used Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink for the background with an intricate die cut for an overlay and a die cut Butterfly for dimension.  I heat embossed the sentiment with Ranger Gold Embossing powder and place some violet gems for sparkle.

I'm pleased with how it turned out and I hope she likes it.  Thanks for stopping in today and until next time, Happy Crafting!

A Teapot Full of Flowers

Hello and Happy Friday Eve!  Today is a quick post to share my pretty teapot full of flowers.  The image is a Bugaboo Digital Stamp that I colored up with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

This card is a standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") that I layered a die cut of the same size.  I colored the die cut with Scattered Straw Distress Ink as well as inking the edges of the focal image with Peeled Paint Distress Ink.

I love Bugaboo images and this was also an easy one to color up if you are a newbie to alcohol markers like myself.

Thanks for visiting and until next time, Happy Crafting!
