Christoph Wagner Great organ sounds to accompany the frosty blackness. I agree with Sasha about there being a B'n'R pace, very fun album.

sashavonkarl74 Vampiric melo-black from Pavia, I liked their previous EP as well as their earlier full-lengths for the catchy melodies and great riffs. There is lots of symphonic elements as well, as the keyboard is quite present here as well in the pre released track, so it seems Morcolac remains consistent and faithful to their roots. That said, there is a B'N'R pace I really enjoy in this one. Favorite track: Ominous Castledusk.

H.L. MORCOLAC play melodic black metal that, at least for me, puts me in a good mood. Perhaps it's the synthetic organ choruses, which lie somewhere between creepy, Commodore 64, and carnival music. They generally play very lively and straightforwardly, and catchy songs like "Ominous Castledusk," "Blacklight Torches from Below," or "Dragonbanners Draw the Horizon" become secret hits that are fun and fit well on any playlist. Favorite track: Ominous Castledusk.

about

After two records out in 2021 and 2022 and the successful EP “Drawbridge To Citadel Of No More Dawn” SadoMaster of Morcolac is back again with the third effort.

As usual, Morcolac draws inspiration from the late 90’s Nordic black metal, in particular from the symphonic side and - geographically - the finnish scene, a tradition continuing today with names such Satanic Warmaster, Vargrav, Warmoon Lord. Listeners can feel a balance in Morcolac music: on one side the gloom of symphonic black metal while on the other the aggression and the malignancy of old-school black metal.

If you are into black metal and you want to experience dark forests, evil creatures and the grim side of fantasy worlds through their lyrics, Morcolac is for you!
