Welcome to the ETO, Yun!

Yun is starting her 19-month secondment in ETO as an Educational Technologist (as Irina has moved onto a new role at UTM). You will likely see her responding to inquiries sent to fase.edtech@utoronto.ca. As she gets settled, she'll also be updating our support documentation, authoring new guides, and running Quercus Toolbox consultation meetings.

Before joining the ETO office, Yun worked in the Department of Computer Science at UofT as an Instructional Support Administrator, where she supported faculty members, instructors, and teaching assistants with undergraduate courses - particularly large-scale, first-year courses. Her responsibilities included managing course logistics, troubleshooting educational technology issues, and helping instructors adopt new educational tools for efficient course organization and online assessments.

With a Master of Education in Adult Education and Community Development from OISE, she is passionate about instructional design and developing strategies for EDI in pedagogy. She is currently pursuing a certificate in Learning Design at UofT's School of Continuing Studies to further enhance her expertise.

Outside of work, Yun enjoys exploring new coffee and tea spots around the GTA, and also loves traveling to coastal destinations. This year, she has also developed a new hobby: practicing Flow and Yin Yoga.
