Available · Working with AI daily

Senior engineer. AI native.

25 years building web apps. AI native for the last two years. I help technical and non-technical people ship real things with AI — whether that means I write the code, or I teach them how to.

The blend

Three kinds of people hire me. All real, all paying.

The work splits cleanly into three lanes. Most of my clients didn't know which one they were in until we talked.

A · Never used AI
Zero to shipping in a week.
You've heard everyone talking about it. ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, n8n — they all blur together. We pick the right tools for what you're actually trying to do, set up your workflow, and get something real shipped.
B · Tried-and-stuck
Bolt / v0 / Lovable wall — broken.
You got something working for 30 minutes, then hit a wall. Maybe the wall is the tool, maybe it's the architecture, maybe it's that you need a real engineer for the next step. Usually all three. I'll take what you built and make it production-grade.
C · Already shipping
The 40% the tools won't teach you.
You're already in Claude Code or Cursor every day. You're getting maybe 60% of the value. The rest is workflow, custom agents, real production deploys, and knowing when NOT to let the model write the code. That's the part I do.

What I've shipped lately.

Things I've built where AI is a meaningful part of the system — not a chatbot bolted on.

Mental health marketplace 2026
Helping people find the right therapist faster, and helping clinics keep the relationship alive.
Custom agent
Homestay matching platform 2026
Matching international students with host families and getting them placed faster, with less back-and-forth.
AI matching
Therapy session platform 2025
Giving therapists their attention back during sessions, so the notes write themselves and the patient gets the full hour. Under NDA — name on request.
Real-time AI
Sol 2025
An autonomous AI assistant with persistent memory, calendar context, and a real opinion. Not a chatbot — a coworker. Public identity site at eduardocruz.com/sol.
Long-running agent
Mission Control 2024
Daily-ops orchestrator for a small team. Reads Stripe + Linear + GitHub, posts a morning brief, runs scheduled agents, surfaces anomalies. Saved ~6 hours of manual triage per week.

About

Who you'd actually be working with.

I'm 50, Brazilian, based in Recife. I started writing PHP when PHP 4 was new and I've been a Laravel developer since around the 4.x days — that's 15+ years of shipping production code, mostly for small SaaS teams in the US.

Two years ago I moved my whole workflow into Claude Code. Not as an experiment — as the actual way I work, every day. That puts me in a rare overlap: I can talk to a non-technical founder about what AI can and can't do for their business, and an hour later be in a senior code review arguing about migration strategy.

I have dry humor. I don't say "🚀". I'm not "10×ing your productivity." I just ship.
