Winter Wreaths

Paper quilling is used for a modern wreath card in this months Crafts Beautiful magazine. My project "Winter Spells" features on the front cover and on pages 65 to 67 inside the magazine with full instructions. The flowers are moderately time consuming to make but certainly worth it for a special card. 

Christmas Flowers

Flowers and flower arrangements are a big part of any Christmas table decoration and here quilled flowers and foliage create wonderful cards for loved ones - instructions found in Crafts Beautiful magazine pages 65 to 67.

Festive Finery

Making patterns with quilled shapes is very relaxing and is suitable for Christmas Bauble cards and decorations. The quilling sits in a recess where the aperture is lifted from the background with foam pads. These pretty baubles are in the October issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine pages 12 - 13 and also on the cover of the magazine!

Frosty Looks

Snowflakes can use many different techniques in quilling allowing so many variations no two are ever the same! These snowflakes can be found in the September issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine on pages 12-13

Pink and red quilled poinsettias

These quilled poinsettias feature in the November 2019 issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine out now - instructions and more designs can be seen on pages 57-59 

Woolly Quilling

For this project in Crafts Beautiful I aimed to use the "beehive" quilling method to create the feel of woolly-ness for the mittens and stockings. The technique uses a strip of paper coiled this way and that with a quilling tool and I was really pleased with the final effect. See this "Delicate Delights" project in the Xmas 2019 edition of Craft Beautiful magazine pages 58-59.

Quilled Baubles

Last month I was invited back to a WI group to run a short workshop on Christmas quilling. We started with a "warm" up exercise of open coils on die cut bauble shapes and a wonderful selection of different patterns were made. A really lovely group of ladies and everyone had a creation to take home at the end. 

Snowflake Toppers

My quilled snowflake cards and decorations are in the Crafts Beautiful Christmas Special magazine pages 64 and 65. The snowflakes are a combination of the huskings method and good old quilled coils. This is one of those projects that does look harder than it is!
  

Quilled Trees

A lovely surprise this week to see my quilling on the cover on Crafts Beautiful magazine for the second month running! The quilled tree is part of a set with instructions inside the magazine.

Snowflake Designs

Quilled snowflakes are something I never tire of as there are infinite variations in design, colours and techniques. In this October issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine out now I used a range of colours and avoided the classic white for the snowflakes.
