Emily Su

I'm an incoming MASc student in Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto where my research focuses on human factors engineering in automated vehicles and I apply machine learning and statistical methods to study them. Outside of my thesis, I'm also currently working on human-AI interaction research at the COoKIE Group and at the Computational Social Science Lab.

In the past, I did a honours BSc (HBSc) degree at the University of Toronto studying computer science, statistics, and digital humanities. I was a recipient of UofT Department of Statistical Sciences's Summer Undergraduate Research Award (SURA) and assisted with research at the Bank of Canada. In my free time, I love to be active (exercising at the gym or dancing), go to concerts, read books, draw/design, and go down rabbit holes.
