Notes

They oughta be entered, and increasingly, they are; Wiktionary beats other dictionaries in this respect.
When this page was young (2018), there was a lot of juicy low-hanging fruit herein, on the lowest level of defining such fruit (i.e., juicy red nuggets swimming in a sea of blue); by 2022, though, such fruit was mostly already picked (by me and others), which testifies to Wiktionary's potential.
The next level beyond the most basic (entered-or-missing) is linking the obvious semantic relations and ontology components at each entry; and if you're hungry for any low-hanging fruit on that level, well, grab your pole and click through to each one. The orchard is yet mostly but an unpruned, untracked forest at that level.
Regarding specific epithets/specific names and subspecific epithets/subspecific names, Wiktionary probably doesn't want entries for the bare form of such names (that is, the nonbinomial form stripped of parent taxon name), being that they could be covered at the entry for the binomial name, *except* that it would be worthwhile to enter certain especially notable ones that are used in *various genera*—that is, of which the definition could say "A specific epithet in several genera, referring to SuchAndSuch", where SuchAndSuch = a New Latin genitive form derived from a microbiologist's name (eg, pasteuri, kochi), another notable person's name, a placename (eg, arizonae), an anatomic location name (eg, coli), or a characteristic of the species (eg, terribilis, vulgaris, sativa, officinalis, melanogaster, parvulus^[1]).
Regarding certain classes of adjectives that probably don't warrant their own entries, as opposed to the entries of their principal associated noun phrase (eg, alendronic versus alendronic acid): these can be culled here, or marked here, at leisure. Speaking of those, see the tail end of this.
Regarding what's still left here, as-yet-unreddened, as of 2023: It is interesting to skim over them and think about their common themes, which is to say, their shared parameters. Here are some things that I see:
- Philosophical question: When is a New Latin form (or a translingual one, or the one from the other) sufficiently naturalized into English as to constitute an English word per se in dichotomized cognitive schema? Also, if it never (or almost never) appears except as part of a collocation (especially a certain particular collocation, which is the best kind of collocation), what then, and if rarely even so, what then? The academic answers are for others to study — ideally with flaming dumptruckfuls of grant money, which is the best kind of study [from some viewpoints more than others] — but I can give you a practical answer even now: for any of the holdout stragglers in this list, fuhgeddaboudit, because tracking it for these is not as interesting for practical purposes as it may at first appear.
- Some uncommon or rare technical terms are either (1) too dated and uncommon to bother following up on here, or (2) not worth following up on until the next time one encounters them in the wild, if such a time ever happens.
- Adding substance names to Wiktionary is a low priority for me, given that (1) IANAC (I am not a chemist), (2) Wikipedia probably already covers most of them for any laypeople who need a costless crowdsourced intro to any particular one, (3) people who really need a competent dictionary of chemistry can buy one for not much money (but they probably won't though, even if they can afford to, but if so then fuck them anyway), and (4) I really ought to fuck around less, although I like chilling out.
- I could drop a grenade into this whole page tomorrow (as I have already done with my millpond at least once), because the parameters of what one gives a fuck about, or (in the nondichotomized case) the degree of fuckness given, the (discrete) number of fucks given, and their expiry dates, are all eminently parameterizable and able to equal zero. But I won't fuck this one off yet, because I enjoy icons of isolated cognitive fuckgiving in a world of prevailing slack-jawed fucklessness.
