film at 11
Appearance
English
[edit]Etymology
[edit]"11" means 11 o'clock. This phrase originated from the U.S. television news broadcasting industry, where the late evening news is traditionally broadcast at 11 o'clock. In short promotional advertisements during primetime, announcers provided tantalizing bits of a story and end with the phrase as a teaser to encourage viewers to continue watching.
