Otyg

Otyg was a Folk music/Viking metal band from Sweden, featuring Andreas Hedlund, the frontman for Vintersorg.

During their existence, Otyg released two albums and several demos with songs written in traditional Scandinavian folk style, and featuring traditional Scandinavian instruments not frequently heard in traditional "metal" music, such as the keyed fiddle and willow flute. All the music was in the Swedish language too. Currently, although the band members still continue to perform in several other projects, it seems to be that Otyg has come to an end. Vintersorg had unofficially expressed that Otyg didn't find anymore inspiration to resume with the project.
