Should we mention that the Soviet Union/Russia did launch spacecraft to other planets?

I'm pondering about the bold part of this sentence:

As of 2003 the Soviet Union nor the countries of the former Soviet Union have launched any other spacecraft to the moon, although they did launch several unmanned spacecraft to Venus, Mars and also one to Comet Halley.

Should spacecraft to other planets be mentioned? We have to mention that this was the last Soviet Union/former Soviet Union countries spacecraft to the moon I think, but if we say nothing more I think it will leave the reader puzzled. Didn't they launch any more unmanned spacecraft? And I think it's also relevant to say they focused on other things. Laudaka 07:24, 10 Feb 2004 (UTC) (=Paul/laudaka)
