This is a WikiProject, an area for focused collaboration among Wikipedians. New participants are welcome; please feel free to participate!

Coordinate maintenance of library-related content
Develop and discuss proposals for improvements to Wikimedia (especially literature-related sites) based on library experience
Assist at the Wikipedia Reference Desk
Assist with categorization

Scope

In scope

Library and information science
- Libraries, librarians, and librarianship in all its aspects (historical, fictional, ancient to contemporary and beyond!).
- Information science in all its aspects, including information organization, retrieval, search, access, and manipulation (sometimes overlapping with WikiProject Computer Science).
Archives, archivists, and archival science.
Preservation and conservation of recorded information (sometimes overlapping with WikiProject Arts, WikiProject Digital Preservation, and WikiProject Museums).
