Martina Stoessel (born March 21, 1997) is an Argentine actress, singer and dancer. She currently has the lead role in the Disney Channel Original Series, Violetta.
Life and career
Martina Stoessel was born in Argentina, she is the daughter of the director of the Baila Conmigo Paraguay program, Alejandro Stoessel.[1] She has a brother Francisco Stoessel.[2] Martina began her artistic training at a young age, performing studied singing, piano, musical comedy, theater and dance.
In 2011, Stoessel was responsible for voicing the Spanish version of the song «The Glow» («Tu Resplandor»), which performs the original versión the singer Shannon Saunders. Song is part of the album Disney Princess: Fairy Tale Songs, in which successes are collected from different Disney animated films, as well as the unreleased track.[3]
On March 2, 2012, Walt Disney Records and Disney Channel released the soundtrack of Celebratón, "Celebratón in Concert", a compilation that includes all the hit songs that sounded in the special year-end, which was issued by the screen Disney Channel on December 31, 2011, where Martina performs «Tu Resplandor».
Stoessel has the lead role in the first co-production between Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, working in collaboration with Pol-ka, Violetta, —her first appearance on television— that from September 2011 is being recorded and will be released in May 14, 2012 in Latin America and Italy. Stoessel plays "Violetta," a bright girl, full of life, but lonely and sheltered by her father (Diego Ramos). She has a unique voice she inherited from her mother, but still does not know. From her father she inherited a love of reading and great intelligence. Returning to Buenos Aires, she began to take private piano lessons in the "Studio 21", a prestigious music academy. There she discovers a new world and will find her own destiny and family history. At first her partners see she as a shy and rather nerdy, but they soon discover her true personality.[4]
A month before the premiere of Violetta, exactly the April 5, 2012, on Disney Channel in a segment of Zapping Zone premiered the music video "En Mi Mundo" song she sings Martina and will be the theme song and was the first broadcast of the series.[5]
To Stoessel, head a cast that also brings talent from Italy, Spain and Ukraine, does not mark any difference. "I don't feel I am the face of anything or anyone, I feel like everyone else. I feel it more important or less important," she said. "Succeed or not I'm happy for everything I did, what we did together", said Stoessel on the nearly seven months of filming in her home country.[6]
