[edit]Is this article necessary apart from X-Factor (comics)? --Newt ΨΦ 18:06, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, the main article deals with all the manifestations of X-Factor comic while this article deals with the newest manifestation of the X-Factor which seems to be becoming important enough to warrant its own article. (RossF18 20:23, 30 December 2006 (UTC))
Publication history
[edit]Anyone want to add a bit of pub history to this article? --Newt ΨΦ 04:18, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
SHB Image
[edit]Can we not use the actual comic cover to X-Factor (vol. 3) #1? I think it shows off the noir feel the book is going for much better than issue #13, while not losing any of the characters. --PsyphicsΨΦ 21:18, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- I do not think that issue 1 includes Leyla on the cover. (RossF18 07:59, 13 February 2007 (UTC))
- You're right. However, I do still think the first issue captures the feel of the comic better. I'd like to make this an article more about the third iteration of X-Factor than about the team "X-Factor Investigations". I think the former is a bit more interesting as an article, and could be linked from X-Factor (comics). What do you think? If so, we would include criticisms and praise, a character list, development, and so on. --PsyphicsΨΦ 15:24, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think this sounds good. We definitely need to make this more about the third X-Factor itself, with, as you said, third party information. I think that this article is already linked from the X-Factor comics page. (RossF18 01:54, 14 February 2007 (UTC))

Character list
[edit]How's about we add a list of characters to this article? I know most of the main ones have their own articles, but outlining their roles in this article would be good. It would include the team, plus Doc Samson and Damian Tryp. Basically we would need to add any character that plays more than a one or two-issue part in the series. This would likely eliminate the need for the Damian Tryp article, which is entirely unsourced and without any analysis, and allow us to still inform the reader about who Damian Tryp is and what role he plays in the comic in which he stars. It would also treat the comic more like a literary work, thus adding legitimacy. I believe there are a decent number of sources for critical analysis of the comic as well as a bit for the development. I think this could work. Thoughts? --PsyphicsΨΦ 15:39, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:XFACT013.jpg
[edit]Image:XFACT013.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Roster
[edit]I rewrote the Roster Changes section. I think I did a pretty good job, I added sources for every bit of information in there, avoided plagiarism and included background information on the information presented. And while doing that, I avoided "in-universe style". Thoughts on how to improve it further? Rau's Speak Page 00:06, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Peter David's plea not to spoil #39 and #40 immediately
[edit]The author of X-Factor actually pleads with the general public on the very first page of the comic itself (#s 39 and 40) to refrain from spoiling the big surprises within. As these very recent events are still playing out, it seems wrong not to honor this, for a little while at least. Many articles are often months out of date, so the "it must be up-to-the-minute" argument, while not entirely without merit, seems insufficient reason to not honor his plea for these rather large twists. 76.93.147.77 (talk) 06:30, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- WP:SPOIL states that all articles are assumed to include spoilers, and specifically mentions that it is not acceptable to delete text from an article due to spoilers. dstumme (talk) 21:16, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- So what happened in those issues? Is it the whole Shatterstar is bi thing? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.28.56.90 (talk) 19:19, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
