Ty Hamilton is an American college football defensive tackle for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Early life
[edit]Hamilton attended high school at Pickerington Central. Coming out of high school, Hamilton was rated as a three-star prospect.[1] Hamilton held offers from schools such as Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, West Virginia.[2] Hamilton ultimately committed to play college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.[3][4]
College career
[edit]In Hamilton's first career season in 2021, he tallied 13 tackles with two being for a loss, two sacks, a pass deflection, and a fumble recovery.[5] In week ten of the 2022 season, Hamilton got his first career start versus Northwestern where he had three tackles.[6] Hamilton finished the 2022 season with 19 tackles, with half a tackle being for a loss, half a sack, and a pass deflection.[7] In the 2023 season, Hamilton was named honorable mention all Big Ten.[8]
Personal life
[edit]Hamilton is the younger brother of current NFL defensive lineman, DaVon Hamilton.[9][10]
