New Real Films, founded by filmmakers Jennifer Jonas and Leonard Farlinger, is an award-winning Canadian producer of theatrical feature films and winner of the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival’s Canadian producer of the year award. New Real’s 14th feature entitled Born To Be Blue stars Ethan Hawke, Carmen Ejogo and Callum Keith Rennie, and is written and directed by Robert Budreau. New Real’s credits include Gerontophilia by Bruce LaBruce, which premiered at the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals and won the Grand Prix at Montreal’s 2013 Festival du Nouveau Cinema. New Real produced the award-winning Trigger directed by Bruce McDonald starring Tracy Wright and Molly Parker selected as one of TIFF’s Top Ten films for 2010 and nominated for 4 Canadian screen awards. New Real produced I'm Yours directed by Leonard Farlinger starring Karine Vanasse and Rossif Sutherland which premiered at TIFF 2011. In 2009, New Real produced DGC Best Director winner, Leslie, My Name is Evil, which premiered at TIFF. In 2008, New Real produced Otto; or Up with Dead People by Bruce LaBruce which premiered at Sundance and Berlinale. In 2007, New Real produced All Hat starring Luke Kirby, Lisa Ray and Rachael Leigh Cook which premiered at TIFF. In 2006, New Real produced Monkey Warfare which won a Special Jury Prize at TIFF and was selected Top Ten. New Real executive-produced Cake starring Heather Graham as well as Sugar, winner of the Inside Out Film Festival. The Perfect Son, another TIFF premiere, was nominated for two Best Actor Genies.

New Real has diverse projects in all stages of development including Mr. Epiphany by Matt Watts to be directed by Leonard Farlinger, Mother Mary by Bruce LaBruce, The Truth About Lying by Leonard Farlinger and Kicking Blood by Blaine Thurier.
