Summary

Description
English: Two calorimeter arrays have already measured cosmic x-rays as part of a joint undertaking of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center known as the X-ray Quantum Calorimeter (XQC) project. Carried aloft on a Black Brant 8 sounding rocket, the instrument observed the diffuse soft x-ray emission from a large solid angle at high galactic latitude.
