Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. BTVA is a situational souce.
editBTVA is considered a situational source
- Example: 1 (ParaNorman) can be used because all roles are check-marked and point to screen captures of closing credits. 2 (Fullmetal Alchemist) cannot be used because there is no verification on BTVA's side to the closing credits. It is speculative that the actor voiced the character and there is nothing to confirm the role. To summarize, Checkmark = can use, No Checkmark = cannot use. UltraDark:) 2 CHAT 03:11, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
- The Persona 4 example you showed me has a list of confirmed credits that BTVA has scanned. If you want more expertise, I'd suggest asking AngusWOOF how BTVA works. The one thing I know about BTVA is that only the checkmarked roles can be used. See this page if you want to know which sources are okay, which ones are situational, and which ones are unreliable. Thank you for your cooperation.ULTRA-DARKNESS:) 2 CHAT 21:11, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
- I replied on UltraDark's talk page regarding this but I'll add more thoughts here. Basically each green check-mark has to be checked on its own merits, whether it be closing credits (best), cast announcements (good, reliable), correspondence (good, self-pub), resume (average self-pub / leave in corner), tweet (average self-pub / leave in corner). Tweets by fans require the VA actually retweet or reply to it for it as confirmation to have some reliability. False tweets are covered by the "extraordinary circumstances". Facebook is less reliable unless it is the actor who posts the announcement and picture, and not the fan club president/members adding it to the album. I had to discard a facebook fan page when it was clear the fan club was posting the photos and there was hardly any correspondence with the actual VA. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:53, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

Video games
editHey Homechallenge55—thanks for your recent contributions. I noticed your interest in Wikipedia's video game content and thought you might be interested in the video games WikiProject. We've done some great work (over 300 pieces of Featured content and over 1000 Good articles), but there is plenty more to do. You can watch our announcements page for article review, feedback, and cleanup suggestions. Our talk page is a also good place to request third opinions and otherwise to ask questions and get feedback. If I can help with anything, swing by my talk page any time. Hope to see you around. czar 16:49, 26 August 2017 (UTC)

editYour recent editing history at Jimmy Zoppi shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. -- Dane talk 04:11, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion
editHello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. -- Dane talk 18:45, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hello Homechallenge55. You've been cautioned for edit warring at Jimmy Zoppi, per a report at the edit warring noticeboard. While information is supposed to be sourced, the disputed fact about Jimmy Zoppi's Pokemon roles is something you could have verified yourself in a couple of minutes, instead of reverting it out multiple times. In case of doubt, it never hurts to ask for advice on the article talk page, or at WP:RSN. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 00:32, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
IP hopper on Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon
editThat IP hopper (2601:246:4804:360:99b5:39e2:c8e4:116c (talk · contribs · WHOIS), 2601:246:4804:360:d081:618d:2b55:3e8 (talk · contribs · WHOIS)) has just issued what appears to be a personal attack against us in this edit summary. I already gave the hopper two only warnings for it. Also, I found that the IPs geolocate to Lake Zurich, Illinois. So, what should we do about this matter? Pretty sure what you're doing is vandalism
editI see that a lot of your edits are taking out large swaths of "unsourced" roles from Voice Actor filmographies, when nearly all of them can be easily sourced every time. Not sure what you're relying on for sources, but please stop. If I knew about or cared about Wikibureacracy I would report you somewhere. - 2601:601:1400:7A00:DC60:8DF4:4615:940D (talk) 21:30, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

editHello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to List of Pokémon anime characters does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. What on Earth are you doing on this article? Even as someone with no idea as to any of the content, it looks pretty disruptive. Anarchyte (work | talk) 13:06, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

editBTVA and Dissident
editHi there, I’m Serge, and Admin here on Wikipedia. I can see that you’ve got some strong feelings about BTVA and Dissident. But there’s a right and wrong way to going about handling things, and I need you to stop things, including making comments like this.
- It is not appropriate to go around talking about how Dissident should be blocked. There are specific venues to ask for people to be blocked. That said, I assure you that I am very familiar with blocking policy, and he’s nowhere near getting a block. I’m not saying I’m taking his side or anything, just letting you know that life will be easier if you drop that line of arguing.
- When we have disputes on things like whether or not a source is usable, we create discussions to come to a WP:CONSENSUS on how to handle it. But your comments, like the one linked above, violates WP:CANVASS. We may encourage people to participate in these discussions, but they must be neutral, (“please comment on this dispute”), they may not advocate a stance (“join this discussion and support me because I am right”).
Here’s what I recommend: Disengage with Dissident. You’re not doing yourself any favors with how you’re currently handling things. I recommend starting up a neutral WP:RFC to get a clearer view on the source. I can help with this if you want assistance in doing it correctly. Sergecross73 msg me 22:21, 20 April 2020 (UTC)

editWP:Prose, information should be presented in a prose format. WP:Weight, why are you giving the voice cast more weight than all the other information. The voice cast is ordered original then dub simply because of casting order. The original work is shown before the adaptation or dubbing. D.Zero (Talk · Contribs) 02:35, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

You can see that Lucy Montgomery, Kezia Burrows, and Michael Cochrane are listed.
Thanks,--Beneficii (talk) 23:05, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
If I may, I would presume that if an actor is listed as having been in a work, that the editor added it because the actor was listed in the credits of that work. Sure, one might doubt that an actor really was in a work they are listed for--these situations do come up--, but just outright reverting and deleting the entry may not be the best approach? It might be better to ask for verification.
Very rarely is a reference footnote applied to a work an actor is listed as having been in on Wikipedia, so I would assume that the work itself and its list of credits is the implied source. But it also seems there is an effort here to apply extra scrutiny to video game entries, for some reason. Perhaps there has been a lot of bad sourcing in the past?--Beneficii (talk) 07:52, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
June 2021
editHi, I'm writing to follow up on your general pattern of recent edits at Brianna Knickerbocker, i.e. deleting material in her filmography that have sources available or appear to be attributable. I have asked you in the edit summary to conduct a 'WP:BEFORE', which I meant as a request for you to look for sources before simply deleting content. I recently also referenced WP:OR, which states, all material added to articles must be attributable to a reliable, published source, even if not actually attributed.
But you continued to delete material. From my view, this seems unnecessary per WP:V, because the filmography entries you have deleted do not appear to be contentious content, and their inclusion helps with research to find additional sources (beyond, e.g. the multiple user-generated websites), so I request that you please stop deleting material that appears to be attributable and consider finding more sources instead. Thank you, Beccaynr (talk) 02:51, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
- Voice acting credits need time to be reliably cited before finally being added. Just be patient. Homechallenge55 (talk) 02:58, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
- Per the policies I referenced above, it looks like we have reason to include the material as reasonably attributable and then use it to help find sources to improve the article. I also was able to find sources after you deleted material, which is why I am asking for you to help with the process of finding sources, because they have existed, and the deletions were not warranted. What feels disruptive to me is to have so many deletions, including of sourced content without explanation, and deletion of content where sources are available, so I am asking you, per the policies noted above, to please stop deleting content that is not contentious, that appears to be attributable, and to consider looking for sources instead. Thank you, Beccaynr (talk) 03:38, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

in fact, if you look at it, it's probably not a different voice actor, he's probably using a pseudonym. His voice looks like John. It's impossible not to be similar. Do not worry. :) comment added by NovaPlaycer (talk • contribs) 16:37, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

List of Persona 3 characters
editHello, for List of Persona 3 characters, Japanese voice actors should be listed first as the game was originally published in Japanese. English voices should not get precedence. Using Template:Voiced by is not wrong in this case. lullabying (talk) 00:56, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
Voice actors
editThere is no need to add another reference from the voice actor to the infobox if the article already has information about it. Also, if you are adding information about the actor, it might be better to add casting of the character or any commentary to expand on creation of the character.Tintor2 (talk) 04:17, 26 June 2021 (UTC)

Your revision on Daniel Licht
editRegarding your recent revert on Daniel Licht's page here, I'm extremely confused by your edit summary. I looked back at the edit I made, which I remember making when came across Licht's page and saw that his birth/death date were in the lead but not the infobox, so I added it. I don't review the edit summary of every article I edit, so I didn't understand your comment and wanted to ask what you meant by it. Is there something you think I should've noticed or done differently? Sock (tock talk) 04:37, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
Prodding redirects
editHi,
I removed some of the prods you added for various Suikoden-related lists. I'm not an admin and can't see deleted contributions, but I will say I don't think this is a very productive use of time. The criteria on redirects are very, very lenient - see WP:RFD#KEEP, where "potentially useful page history", "needed for merge attribution", "Aid searches", "has incoming links", and "is useful" are all valid criteria. Basically something has to be actively misleading or harmful to merit a deletion. Admittedly, some of the more minor characters nobody will care about, but I don't see the advantage in doing such edits at all. SnowFire (talk) 06:24, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- That's hardly a problem — minor characters with no mention anywhere onn Wikipedia are almost always deleted. The real problem is that the PROD tag is only for articles or files; for redirects, please use WP:RFD. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 08:41, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Large-scale misuse of the PROD tag. Thank you. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 08:46, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
For future reference @Homechallenge55, prod tags are not supposed to be placed on redirects. Per WP:PROD, Proposed deletion cannot be used with redirects, user pages (except user books), drafts, templates, categories, or pages in any other namespace.

You removed his date of birth and middle name because it was unreferenced. I am all in favor of working to make sure that content is verified. But the best thing to do is to find and add a reference to a reliable source. The next best thing to do is to add a "citation needed" tag. Removing the content should be the last resort for situations where you are unable to verify the assertion and seriously doubt its accuracy. Did you actually doubt it? In less than one minute, I found a Stanford University website that verifies both the date of birth and the middle name. I reverted your edit and cited that source. Please follow a similar course of action going forward. Thank you. Cullen328 (talk) 00:45, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
