Seasonings Three

Last record in this series of celebrity Christmas wishes and probably my favorite out of the bunch, if only for the inclusion of a great greeting from Stevie Ray Vaughn. There are a few artists duplicated between this record and the last one, but they are all new greetings as near as I can tell. Same great range of artists as well, from Luther Vandross to Gregory Hines to Quiet Riot! How can you go wrong? Don't delay, supplies are limited! Download Holiday Greetings From The Epic, Portrait And CBS Associated Family (Epic EAS 1393, Stereo, 1988) now! Least favorite greeting on this one? Living Color. Come on, they couldn't be bothered to actually record something related to the holiday? This record was first shared around these parts back in 2010, but this new post is a brand new rip in fancy FLAC format.

Seasonings One

I've gotten a lot of requests for these records over the years, so I finally decided to go back and remaster them and share them in FLAC. This is the first of three albums I have filled to the brim with Christmas greetings from multiple musical artists. There's a huge selection of artists here from Poison to Willie Dixon to MC Hammer. Something for everyone, as they say. Grab it before it's gone, and sprinkle it liberally around your Christmas library. This is The Best For '89 From The Entire Capitol Family (Capitol SPRO-79471, Stereo, 1989). Almost forgot to mention I first shared this out in 2010 and I don't think I've remastered it since then. The share this year is sparkly and new.

Another day, another share. And for most of us, it's time to go back to work after a long Thanksgiving Day weekend. Hope you had a good one. No, wait, I'm a day off, today is Tuesday. Charles Emerson Winchester, III

I love finding appearance by celebrities, especially on local records like this that no one has heard of. The guest star here is David Ogden Stiers, a name almost as ostentatious as that of his best-known role on M*A*S*H, Charles Emerson Winchester, III. He also guest stared on Star Trek: The Next Generation as an older gentleman who has a bit of a relationship with Troi's mother. So this ticks off two classic TV shows if you're keeping score. He has a bit of a welcome speech in the beginning, then he silently conducts one of the tracks. Not sure why the best picture of him they could come up with for the sleeve is so blurry, but that's what you get. The music is well-played, but it's nothing too exciting. Your biggest takeaway here is that introduction. This is The Portland Symphony Orchestra-Bruce Hagen, Conductor-The Magic Of Christmas (Portland Symphony Orchestra No Number, Stereo, 1981). FYI, this is from Portland, Maine, not Portland, Oregon. Thought you'd want to know.

2. A Christmas Festival
3. Waltz Of The Flowers, From "Nutcracker"-David Ogden Stiers, Guest Conductor
4. Rejoice Greatly, From "Messiah"
5. Hallelujah Chorus, From "Messiah"
6. The Twelve Days Of Christmas
7. I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day
8. The Many Moods Of Christmas
